Mariah Carey strikes a luringly charming pose on the April 2008 cover of Allure Magazine.
In her interview with the mag, she gets candid and dishes out lots to know like her being understood as a scatterbrain, low self esteem issues, her stunning new bod; and more…
“It’s a dichotomy, I understand,” she tells Allure. “I understand that people think I’m a ditzy moron.”
Still choosing to see herself as, “eternally 12,” Mariah calls herself a button-up girl prototype, despite wearing the dangerously short mini she wore for Saturday Night Live on mar 15, where she performed “Touch My Body,” and “Migrate,” from her brand new disc.
“I’m Mary Poppins: I’m what the button-up girls are supposed to be.”
“I’ve always had really low self-esteem, and I still do,” she admits. “What’s weird about that is being onstage, and the love that you get, and the adoration that you feel from your real fans. It’s hard for a partner to compete – just imagine.”
How hard is it to buy the fact that the luscious Mimi, has never had a one night stand?
Presumably, not too hard after she proclaims herself as a, “freakin’ prude.”
Work Issues…
“It’s not that difficult to become exhausted,” she says, alluding to her meltdown in 2001. “I have three personal assistants just to keep up with my schedule!”
And of course, the newly acquired ‘Fine Bod,‘ is courtesy her personal trainer…
“I don’t know why everyone thinks I lost 30 pounds,” she says. “This trainer has actually helped me reshape my arms. That’s where I gained most of my weight: upper body. That’s just one thing you have to lose weight for.”
Mariah’s new album titled “E=MC2,” which follows up after the success of her previous album, “Emancipation Of Mimi,” which sold 10 million copies worldwide and won three Grammy Awards.
E=MC2 is her 11th studio album which is scheduled to hit stores on April 15.
