So what happened? For starters, mainstream brands – Tory Burch boots being one of the latest – picked them up as a fashion accessory. Will the popular brand, Ariat – known for authentic riding gear enter this space? Perhaps. But how do the designers adapt these boots? Simple. They shortened the length, adopted the style and called them riding boots. Only these weren’t for riding, they were for style. And… people loved them!

So, what’s next? I suppose it depends on the sport at hand. Jerseys are popular among men – it will be interesting to see how women pick them up as a new trend. In the world of horseback riding, polo shirts are popular. And in mainstream fashion, we see polos by Ralph Lauren, Joules and others. Anyway, something to think about.

There have been so many hours that have gone into all of my planning for my wedding this fall. I feel like it’s been such a long time coming and I absolutely can’t wait for the big day to get here! But first, I need to worry about making sure that all of my DIY wedding favors are perfect.

I’ve been using my wireless internet service Charlotte to find lots of ideas about what kinds of favors I should make for my wedding. After all this time, I just now decided it, which is really down to the wire because my wedding is in just a few weeks!

Out of all the DIY fall wedding favors that I considered, I decided that it would be really neat to fix up some candles to give out to people. So I’m working on creating these neat labels that have our wedding date on them that I’m fixing to the outside of the candle. But the best part about the candles is that they’re all fall scents like pumpkin, apple and cinnamon!

Being someone who has had acne since I was fifteen years old, I feel like I’ve tried everything to get clear skin. Whether it was creams or pills, nothing seemed to work until I finally found the best brand for me. I still do have occasional acne, but my main problem now is acne scars. It simply gets annoying having to put on makeup to coverup the scars, every time I step outside. There are so many cute things to wear in the summer, whether it’s skirts,tank tops, or bathing suits. Summer clothes even tend to have nicer brighter colors. When it comes to wintertime, how cute can a sweater and jeans be? One of the only positive thing I have to say about winter, is that I can wear my UGG boots. Not only are they stylish, but they are so comfortable. I’ve often walk around in them all day, and I never want to take them off. UGGS are made of sheepskin, which keeps my feet warm no matter how cold the rest of my body is. These boots have been popular for years, and it doesn’t look like they are going out of fashion anytime soon. It’s hard to go anywhere on a winter day without seeing at least one girl (or guy) wearing a pair of UGGS. They are the one necessity for me when the winter chill arrives.

I never had cable tv at home until my roommate got it and all of sudden I started watching all these fashion shows. I love Rachael Zoe and then there’s the Style network, of course, and then it hit me one day – I was sitting there in my faux fur coat and I realized I was missing my calling in fashion! I immediately signed up for school and decided to go ahead and get started on the path to the kind of career I would be really happy in. Now I work with one of the best designers in Texas and I couldn’t be happier! Even the days when I’m working late folding clothes and hanging up outfits and basically just doing grunt work I feel better about where I am than I did before. Having your hand in something you’re passionate about is worth the extra effort if you ask me – that’s the honest to goodness truth. I love that now I can say “I’m in fashion!”
