The sexiest belaboring gun of the exalted fashion sorority, supermodel Naomi Campbell is all set to glare up the heat of the runway for a yet another Fashion For Relief show during the London Fashion Week spring/summer 2009, that starts off on the 14th of this month.
The charity event will raise money this season for the White Ribbon Alliance - an international coalition of organizations and individuals which helps save the lives of pregnant women and newborn babies around the world, patroned by the Prime Minister’s wife, Sarah Brown.
Campbell told press….
“I am honoured to be working with Sarah Brown and the White Ribbon Alliance on this year’s Fashion For Relief. So many women, children, families, communities around the world are affected by maternal mortality. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone in some way.”
“We are using this year’s London Fashion Week catwalk to reach people, showcase the important work of the White Ribbon Alliance and raise money for this cause.”
Jaeger, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana Vivienne Westwood are among the designers who’ve already signed up to show as part of the event which is scheduled for September 17.
Campbell has been involved in charity work since 1997. She has also helped raise millions of dollars for Hurricane Katrina victims….`Gud on er ! What fascinates me, is the fact that age hasn’t slowed her down..N that bod-’38, Still oozes smoke’
Random browsing got me liking this piece of kyootness… Certianly ain’t mind numbingly kyoot, buh the shrug that took a hault halfway suggested a simple thing. That, in it…a lot of fun could come with great eeez. All it does need, is a sense of snapy effortless swank.
Sassy and chic….. Once donned, the minimality can draw a good portion of sophistication in a low pitching screech demanding a few looks to be hooked for a moment of acclaim to its raw appeal. Certainly not the most worked up piece, but the subtlety following up would be hard to miss.
Adding that much needed touch of ebony, it would make up a casual and easy ensemble with the mix of the classic close fitting pair of stockings, pointed toe pumps and a gorgeous cashmere neck wrap….
Simple and generously-sized tri-color jersey knit tunic with a scoop neckline, short dolman sleeves, and a wide banded hem.

Gareth Pugh, who collaborated with Moët & Chandon on the fourth season of The Moët Room and gave London Fashion Week a haven of peace, has designed Moët sunglasses, produced in collaboration with Linda Farrow.
Pugh chose the shape from Linda Farrow’s extensive archives and put his own signature monochromatic twist on the frames.
Gareth Pugh’s sunglasses for Moët, come in a strictly limited edition run of 200, to be bestowed only upon special guests of Moët.
Pugh explains, “Sunglasses are an accessory that I’ve not worked with until now. With the emphasis of lighting in the Moët Room, sunglasses seemed like the right choice for the Moët Room key. This project has pushed my boundaries in terms of design. I have relished the challenge, alongside working with Moët & Chandon once again.”
If that wasn’t he idea, its going in the uncanny department of an average sane brain…
Dread it or Admire it?
Its a bear from a limited edition Steiff bear collection, created by Karl Lagerfeld for fellow German uber-brand Steiff.,
The Teddy bears a rather cartooned mafia like affinity with the designer, donning his trademark shades, suit, tie and ‘KL’ monogrammed belt, only to give us the Teddy bear version of himself.
The alpaca bear, which measures 16-inches, costs a whopping £750 and is available in a strictly limited run of 2,500, will go on-sale US retailer Neiman Marcus next month.
The Teddy’s supposed charm got to him…And hence, he has bagged one for himself, despite of not being a huge toy person.
“Maybe I had one - I don’t remember,” he says. “I never played with anything like toys. Nothing scares me more than people with a doll collection. Frightening.”
